The disAbility Scholarship which was created in 2013 to enable high school students with disabilities to go to college and target a career in the technology industry. Each year this scholarship is awarded to promising high school seniors who plan to attend a vocational or academic college in the US (or a school with a US affiliate) and have a financial need. Scholarship requirements and application materials can be found on the disAbility Scholarship website. In-State Scholarship Deadline Extended to March 1
If you haven’t heard already, UAB recently surpassed its $1 billion fundraising goal to benefit our students, faculty, patients, research, innovation, and broader UAB Community. Because of this tremendous achievement, we are proud to extend our scholarship deadline for Alabama residents to March 1. December test scores will be the last scores considered for scholarship purposes.

ACCS and AAMA (Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association) have an EXCELLENT opportunity that essentially pays for all tuition, fees and books for 50 students interested in the automotive manufacturing industry. A total of 40 college students and 10 high school students with a minimum 2.5 GPA will be awarded an annual $3,600 scholarship (split per semester) to pursue a technical education certificate or associate degree to prepare for the field.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 28. Students may click here to apply, obtain more information, and see which majors will count. They will need the following:

? Maximum 500-word essay on why he or she wants to work in Alabama’s automotive industry
? One signed reference letter
? Unofficial college or high school transcript
? Headshot photo
This is both an excellent recruiting tool for new students and a benefit for current students to do something they love.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:
Awards of $4,000 for four-year college enrollees and $2,000 for two-year college enrollees.
