Letters were sent last week from Coastal Alabama which did not list a deadline on the application for the next step in the process. Applications were due March 1 but they have extended the deadline to March 5th - this is the date on the letter that states when they will also receive confirmation of the interview process (March 15). Each year this scholarship is awarded to promising high school seniors who plan to attend a vocational or academic college in the US (or a school with a US affiliate) and have a financial need. Scholarship requirements and application materials can be found on the disAbility Scholarship website. In-State Scholarship Deadline Extended to March 1
If you haven’t heard already, UAB recently surpassed its $1 billion fundraising goal to benefit our students, faculty, patients, research, innovation, and broader UAB Community. Because of this tremendous achievement, we are proud to extend our scholarship deadline for Alabama residents to March 1. December test scores will be the last scores considered for scholarship purposes. If you have any questions about this deadline extension, please contact your Admissions Counselor or the UAB Office of Undergraduate Admissions at [email protected] or 205-934-8221. ACCS and AAMA (Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association) have an EXCELLENT opportunity that essentially pays for all tuition, fees and books for 50 students interested in the automotive manufacturing industry. A total of 40 college students and 10 high school students with a minimum 2.5 GPA will be awarded an annual $3,600 scholarship (split per semester) to pursue a technical education certificate or associate degree to prepare for the field.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 28. Students may click here to apply, obtain more information, and see which majors will count. They will need the following: ? Completed application ? Maximum 500-word essay on why he or she wants to work in Alabama’s automotive industry ? One signed reference letter ? Unofficial college or high school transcript ?
